Honoring Jack’s Legacy – Art Spiegelman: Disaster Is My Muse
Join us for a free community screening of Art Spiegelman: Disaster Is My Muse on Sunday, August 23, at 2:00 p.m.
This acclaimed documentary explores the life and work of Pulitzer Prize-winning Maus creator Art Spiegelman, whose work has become central to national conversations about Holocaust education, book bans, and freedom of expression. The screening is sponsored by the City of Havre de Grace, and is being shown in memory of community arts educator Jack Hirschfeld, whose passion for film inspired dialogue and learning throughout Harford County.
Admission is free. All are welcome. Those wishing to honor Jack’s legacy are invited to make a donation to the Havre de Grace Opera House in support of its ongoing arts and cultural programming.
